Top Secret Sneak Peek….. and retired lists.

A couple of weeks ago you may remember me talking about some secret projects I was working on for display at a recent Stampin’ Up! training event…. well today I can share them!  I got sent a pack of the gorgeous Soho Subway DSP and also some Very Vintage Buttons.

First a mini album, this was great fun to make!  If you'd like to do a class on this then leave a comment on this post letting me know :)

My second project was a scrapbook layout.  Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the pages after I had attached the photos and done my journalling :( You get the idea though.

Beautiful Butterflies!

Today I wanted to share some of the cards from my recent round of classes.  As you read this I may well be at Wendy’s completing round 3!  If you want to get some friends together for a private class then get in touch and let me know.

The theme for these classes was butterflies – and what a lot there was to choose from when I was planning!  I have to say that a lot of the inspiration came from pinterest so thank you very much fellow ‘pinners’. Today I am sharing my six cards, apologies for the pictures it’s been really grey and miserable and getting a good picture has been impossible :(  Over the next few days I will share some of the attendees cards, the subtle differences can make such a change to the card :)

This first card uses the beautiful Swallowtail stamp, it’s a lovely big image, and so much more versatile than I first thought.  I’ll do a post on the technique if you like, leave a comment and let me know and then I can put a little tutorial together.

This next card showcases the gorgeous Pappilion Pot Pourri, co-ordinating punch and the piercing template too!

Here you can see a close up of the pierced outline.

2013-05-30 16.22.56

Next we have a very pretty little pink number…

2013-05-30 16.23.38

…with a surprise inside!
  2013-05-30 16.24.00

Now a little blue number, I love Baja Breeze and will be very sad when it leaves us at the end of June.
  2013-05-30 16.24.21

the flutterbies even got inside this card too!

2013-05-30 16.24.32

Number 5 was a z fold card.

2013-05-30 16.25.19

And finally, this bright and cheery one – don’t you just LOVE the coloured glimmer paper!   Again if enough of you comment, and let me know that you’d want it I will post a tutorial on how I have achieved this effect.

2013-05-30 16.34.10

That’s all for now, come back very soon for some news about the full retiring list.  Happy crafting!

Scrapbook Saturday

Ooops!  Another late post, sorry.  I've had a lovely day today doing part 1 of my butterfly themed class and then spending some time this afternoon with a friend and my son, I think he appreciated some time without his little sister!  I say part one of the class because I have 5 more people coming tomorrow and then I’m running the class again as a private class for the lovely Wendy and her friends on Thursday.  Once I've completed the class at Wendy’s I will share the projects here with you   If you are interested in having a private class and can get a group of friends together then click here contact me for more details.
Today’s pictures are of a layout that uses the lovely ‘Tea Shoppe’ stamp set.  We’d decided that we were going to give attendees a little more choice of colour and let them choose from the subtles colour family.

This first layout is mine, don’t you just love that lovely huge cup!

2013-05-25 20.39.45

Here’s a close up of the bottom of the first page, I’ve used the new borders plate from the simply scored board.

2013-05-25 20.39.58

Here’s the second page of my layout, apologies for the glare from the page protector.

2013-05-25 20.40.09

A close up of the stack of cups, I love that the wing section of the build a bird punch fits inside the handle so neatly :)

2013-05-25 20.40.22

Here’s Georgies first page of the layout, I love all the texture  that she’s used!

She’s rotated the layout for her second page.  This is a great way to turn a single page layout into a double page spread.

I think this is one of Sue’s pages, I love the green – really fresh!

I hope you’ve made it through all of today’s pictures :)  Come back soon!

Lots of flutterbys....

A very late post today as I have been prepping for this weekend's butterfly themed class. I'm sharing one of the cards that hasn't made the grade - only because we don't have enough time :-) so many butterfly ideas!

A bright and cheery triple stamped card using pappilion pot pourri and the co-ordinating punches.

Here you can see the detail you get from layering the punches.  Come back soon for some more lovelies.

Make a Cake – birthday

Hello! A quick share for you today.  Yesterday was spent celebrating my Niece’s 3rd birthday so I though that I’d share the card that I made for her.  After discussing designs with my 7 year old son we plumped for PINK, BRIGHT & GIRLY and BIRTHDAY CAKE! I think this card fit the bill – my design assistant was most impressed with the 3 tier birthday cake :)

Scrapbook Saturday

Good Morning! Today really is ‘Scrapbook Saturday’ for me this week.  This afternoon I am spending a few hours with my lovely friend and downline Georgie.  We will be prepping the layouts for our monthly scrapbook club – any of you who come along will be shocked that we are doing it this far in advance :)

Are you interested in finding out more about Scrapbooking? Do you live locally to Northampton? YES!  Then why not join us.  We meet on the first Tuesday of every month 7.30pm – 9.30pm at St Crispin’s Village, Northampton, NN5 6JF.  The session costs £10 but is FREE with orders over £30.  Yummy refreshments are included too!  All you need to do is let us know you are coming so just contact me and let me know.

For today’s scrapbook saturday I am sharing some inspiration from the recent Stampin’ Up! training event I attended.  At all events there are amazing display boards and all us demo’s will be snapping away, the ideas are stunning! The only unfortunate thing is not knowing who to credit.

I love the use of the ticket punch to create a border, the penants and using the 'negative' scallop at the top of the page.

What a cool use of the rosette die! This page makes me smile :)  That's all for today!
Back soon x

Happy Mail :)

A couple of weeks ago I got a phone call from Kelly in the Stampin’ Up! UK office, she asked me if I would be part of the design team for the regional training event.  I jumped at the chance and stalked my postman for the next few days – I was not disappointed when he arrived!  Kelly sent me some sneak peek items that I cannot share with you yet and asked that I create some projects to be displayed at the event in Telford.

name in lights_thumb[2]

This is the tag that Kelly put on my display table, for now it’s all I can share but I promise as soon as I can you will see my projects.

Anyway getting back to the title of today’s post.  Look what came through my letterbox this morning, some lovely happy mail from Paula & Kelly in the UK office.

Come back tomorrow for the rest of the swaps that I received.

Regional Training Swaps

Sorry for not posting yesterday, I had a fun day playing with two very busy toddlers!

Onto today’s post, as you know I attended the UK regional training event run by Stampin' Up! over the weekend.  I shared the earrings that I made for swaps, with you on Sunday, so today I wanted to share some of the swaps that I received in return.

So above, clockwise round from top left we have swaps from Lynda, Joanne, Monica, and last in this picture is Diane.  What awesome swaps!  The bone folder with the bottle top charm is actually a team gift from my upline Monica, she always makes such beautiful gifts.  Thank you Mon!

Blowing thanks your way….

What a busy weekend! Stampin’ Up! training was AWESOME! I have loads of things to share over the coming weeks and lots of exciting things that I am going to implement in my business.

For today I just have a really quick post, some really cute little customer thank you’s that I made using the pinwheel die and the lovely Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP.

I really like this die!  It makes pinwheels so easy.  Best of all it’s only £4.50.

Buttony swaps

As I told you in yesterday’s post I spent the day on Saturday at a Stampin’ Up! Regional training event. (or will be spending the day – don’t you just love scheduled posting!)

These days are so much fun and one of the things I like the most is swapping with other demos.  With Daisy’s illness this last couple of weeks and my top secret project I wanted something super quick, here’s a few pics…

Some stamped and punched labels….. pretty, but what could it be???

2013-05-10 18.59.09

Beautiful Stampin’ Up! button earrings!  I think my favourites are the clear faceted button ones! I've put a rhinestone for the centre for some added bling!

2013-05-10 20.09.03

Here’s a picture of the earrings whilst they were drying, I used crystal effects to adhere the buttons to the fixings.  “What’s that white foam?” I hear you ask….. well it’s actually part of the packaging for the album I showed you yesterday :)

2013-05-10 18.59.44

You can really see the sparkle from the rhinestones!  Come back later in the week for some pics from the training session.

Scrapbook Saturday

Good Morning! As you read this I will be on the motorway somewhere around Birmingham on my way to a regional training event run by Stampin’ Up!

Before I move on to today’s layouts I wanted to apologise for not blogging this week, I have been working on something top secret! WATCH THIS SPACE!

Now on to today’s pages, normally I scrap 12x12” layouts.  When I saw the spring summer mini catalogue I knew that I wanted the scrapbook bundle, but I didn’t initially realise it was a 6x6” album.  The thing is these pages are coming together really quickly – I LOVE the smaller scale!
    2013-05-10 22.11.27

The best thing is that you get everything to complete your album in the bundle, you just need to add adhesives and photos!

2013-05-10 22.11.02

A very quick post as it’s actually Friday night as I type this and I have to be up early in the morning!  Pop back tomorrow to see the swaps I made for the training event.

Scrapbook Saturday

Good morning! Sorry for being a little quiet this week, with Daisy being under the weather I've had my hands full.  Thankfully she’s all better now and just to prove it I have a lovely photo to share with you and some scrapbooking of the digital kind.

ss_214725769

Having lots of fun on the trampoline!  I love her hair in this picture and that big grin too!  Mostly it's just good to see her back to her usual self.  The kids haven’t let me clean the leaves off as they like jumping in them, although after this bouncing session they were almost all gone :)

So you may be wondering how I've done this layout?  It’s the Simply Sent App from Stampin’ Up! Just go into your app store whether Android or i phone and download it today.  It’s FREE and really easy to use.  I hope you are enjoying your bank holiday weekend.  Come back soon – I have some really exciting bits to share over the next week or so.
