Exciting news!!!!!!!

My lovely downline Georgina and I have been busy organising and I'm excited to announce that details of our new monthly scrapbooking class our now up on the Clubs and Classes tab at the top of the page, check it out and get in touch if you want to come along!

I've had a lovely couple of weeks enjoying the sunshine and having hubby and my gorgeous little boy home but now it is well and truly back to business.  Monday's classes are still going and if you'd like to find out more or reserve a place get in touch I'd love to meet you :)

For now I'd like to share the card that we made on Monday night, it's based on one I showed you a few weeks ago that I made with my upline but tweaked a little as I didn't have all the products she used so I did what I could and added a little from my stash.

Here it is in another colour combo - gotta love that gorgeous deep Elegant Eggplant.

I'm really getting to like distressing now and have more to show you soon.  This card uses a couple of distressing techniques.  I've well and truly scrunched, screwed and squished the scallop circles and leaf pieces then sponged the edges by flicking the sponge over the edge of the card.  I then patted the ink pad over the top - this just catches the ink onto the creases that you have made.  On the backing piece and the base caed itself I've sponged the edges but this time kept the card flat on the table and used circular movements to pull the colour in slowly building it up.   The ribbon is actually the Whisper White Organza ribbon, I've used Crumb Cake ink and pulled  the ribbon across the inkpad to add colour, I then let it dry before ruffling it by sitcking it over a piece of sticky strip.
