Something a bit different....

I had a horrid day yesterday! I was meant to blog something crafty but it just didn't happen.  However I was just before bed I was responding to a message from a friend when I saw these two things and they both bought a smile to my face :)

The first is a video from Stampin' Up! head office

The second was actually on my Son's school blog.  Their topic for this term is Japan and his class teacher has put up a photo slideshow of some of there work.  I've just done a screen grab of my gorgeous little man - see he's creative like me :)

Hopefully I can get some creative 'therapy' in later on.

Last Demo Booth Pictures

Good Morning! Back to work this morning for me so this is a scheduled post. I promised to share my last pictures from the demo booth I did at our team training so here they are.

I love these two scrapbook pages, quick simple layouts that were really easy to do.  The papers are from the SAB stack called Sycamore Street and I've used the butterfly punch and coordinating cardstock as my base. I have to admit to taking my inspiration for the top page from a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Bekka.  You can see Bekka's page here.

This cute little note book was just screaming out for some embellishment, the ribbon and buttons are from the SAB pack that you can get for FREE when you spend £45 between Jan 22 - Mar 22.

Finally an embellished picture frame, this and the notebook were actually presents for a very good friend and my downline Beth, thank you for the loan :)

That's it for today. Sale-A-Bration starts tomorrow, pop back and you'll see the full offering of amazing FREEBIES.

More pictures from training

Good morning!  Today I wanted to share some more pictures from the demo booth I did for last weekends training. This first picture is the Fancy Favour Die (pg 194 AC). I have used a technique that the very talented Becki Ritson showed us at convention. I used the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets (pg 160 AC) to adhere a piece of the gorgeous Floral District fabric to a sheet of whisper white cardstock then ran it through the big shot and voila! You get a beautiful fabric effect but with the rigidity of the cardstock. I've embellished my box with buttons from the SAB pack and whited stitched grosgrain ribbon.  You can see Becki's projects here.

This next project uses a bit more of the floral district fabric and some of the Sycamore Street SAB paper. It a little sewing kit in a mason jar with a pin cushion top. I've seen a few of these and think that they are really cute, so I had a go myself.

The last project for today is a really quick notecard set.  I particularly wanted to show off the DSP, this is more from the same SAB set Sycamore street.  A totally different look though don't you think?  The gift bag is made from a single sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock, I adapted it from a swap that I got ages ago a small purse.  If you'd like to see a tutorial on it leave a comment and let me know.

So that's nearly it for my projects, pop back tomorrow to see the last lot.

Belated New Year's Wishes....

Oooops I've been a very naughty blogger. It turns out that I am in fact not superwoman and something had to give for a while. I am sorry but I am back and looking forward to sharing lots of lovely Stampin' Up! news with you all.  What I love about Stampin' Up! is that it is so flexible and I can do as little or as much as I want.

I hope that everyone had an enjoyable and restful festive season.  We had a quiet Christmas, just the 4 of us at home on the day itself so it was very chilled out,  I did however cook 5 times as much food as was needed, I think we may still have a few bits in the cupboards :)  I got a camcorder for Christmas and as soon as I have a tripod I am planning on shooting some crafty videos - a little nervous though and I hate the sound of my voice on recordings - watch this space.

Onto some crafty news... we had our team training last weekend and it was such a blast! I volunteered to make some samples for a demo booth as inspiration for the other demonstrators attending.  It was my first time and I have to say thank you so much to everyone for the positive comments.

This is my booth all laid out

A little notecard set using the Scallop Envelope die to make a coordinating box. The stamp set is called Pretty Petites, I've used the coordinating punch (also a SAB freebie) and the larger curly label punch from the main catalogue. DSP is from the SAB set called Sycamore Street - I LOVE it!

This little box is similar to one shown to us at convention in November by a lovely demonstrator called Elizabeth Shannon the whole box is made from one sheet of 12x12 dsp. As above the papers are from the SAB set Sycamore Street and the ribbon is another SAB freebie, this time a bundle, 3 spools of ribbon and a pack of buttons.

Next a set of 8 notecards in an envelope style holder, I didn't get a very good picture of the holder unfortunately.  The Happy Hello Simply Sent card kit  is another of the 17 possible freebies you can choose from between Jan 22nd - Mar 22nd. You get 8 shaped cards, printed envelopes and all the embellishments needed, I only added a couple of strips of cardstock.

Finally, for today a big thank you to my downline Joanne. I don't yet have the feeling sentimental stamp set so I asked her to bring some samples along - she did a great job! (shame my pictures aren't great - Sorry Joanne)
