Watch this space....

...for updates on all things Stampin' Up! I am still catching up from convention and a bit crazy with other work but I will be back soon to share lots of lovelies with you.

In the mean time I have pinched this picture from my upline of myself and a very dear friend at convention - we had so much FUN!  This picture was actually taken during one of the main stage sessions, we were meant to be paying attention but I think all the excitement was a bit too much :)

'The' Ornament

Just a quick post today.  Since the launch of the Autumn/Winter Seasonal Catalogue I've had loads of people comment on the decoration that appears on the front.  It is BEAUTIFUL! Well it took me a while but finally I had a go.

It was actually dead simple to make, I'm thinking of doing a special christmas event in November that will include this ornament - let me know if you'd be interested.

I've been super organised with scheduled posts for a few days, so I'll try and keep it up.  For now I'll just promise to be back soon with more lovlies!

Christmas Card Club (September part 2)

Today I'm back to share with you the other 3 cards we made at my Christmas Card Club in September.  These sessions are great fun! We make 10 cards (2 each of 5 designs), I try and have atleast 1 non-traditional card and that's the first one I'm sharing today.

The card base is Melon Mambo with a Basic Black Mat. On the Whisper White layer I have stamped the Bauble from Chock-Full of Cheer.  To shape the sentiment I used an oval punch.

This card is on a Crumb Cake base.  The stamp set is Merry Minis and the DSP is from the Festival of Prints stack.

To finish a fun little number based on a design by a demonstrator in the same team as me.  Julie's creations are always beautiful and she often inspires me.  You can see her blog here.  On this card I have teamed Pool Party with Cherry Cobbler and used my blender pens to colours in the penguins from Polar Party.

I hope you like today's cards. I'll be back soon with some more lovlies!

Christmas Stamp a Stack (September)

Hello! Today I want to share with you the first of September's Christmas Cards.  I know.... I'm really late!  Each month from August - November I run a Christmas Card class.  We make 10 cards (2 each of 5 different designs) that are 'post friendly' ie flat-ish without too many heavy or bulky embellishments.  That way when it comes time to write cards you have 40 ready to go and a choice of 20 different designs should you wish to re-create any.  The session costs £10 and all you need to bring is scissors and adhesives. Contact Me if you want to come along to our last one in November.  A lot of my inspiration came from fellow demonstrators, I did a mega surfing session and drew pictures scribbled down notes but I forget to note down web addresses.  If you think one of these may be cased from your work please let me know and I can credit you linking back to your site.

This card is a Real Red base, teamed with Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade and Early Espresso.  The paper is from the Candlelight Christmas Speciality DSP set and the stamp set is joyous celebrations - I love that little reindeer!

The second card uses the Holiday Collection Framelits and the Festival of Prints Paper Stack.  The card base is Very Vanilla with a Crumb Cake layer

That's all for now the final 3 cards will follow soon.

Last chance birthdays...

Hello! September iss rapidly coming to an end and along with it so is your chance to get hold of the retiring items.

The cards I wanted to share with you are the birthday cards that I make for my brother in law a little while ago.  I've used retiring stamp sets, i particularly like the candle from Party This Way, this set was not just for kids birthdays.

Apothecary Birthday

Good morning! I know I promised Christmas cards but I'm having problems uploading those pictures so first today I am going to share another birthday card that I made for a friend. I've used up the last of my Blushing Bride cardstock along with the pleated satin ribbon. I'm sad to see them go. The stamp set is Apothecary Art and again I've used the matching framelit dies - LOVE them!

The image was coloured using the blender pens with the inkpads. Finishing touches are the embossed layer using the new Lacy Brocade embossing folder and piercing the large die cut label using the new template that fits perfectly, these two products are from the Autumn/Winter catalogue.

100th post!

Well it feels like a bit of a milestone, maybe only a little one but still. Today I'd like to share a card that I made for a friend's birthday recently. I 'cased' this from NEW annual catalogue which goes live on Monday!

I've used lots of new product on this card. The card base and large framelit are Primrose Petals - one of the new 2012 -2013 in colours. The dsp is from Patio Party and the stamp set is Memorable Moments, I love that this set coordinates with the framelit dies. Here's a different angle to show some of the dimension, I didn't fully adhere the strips of dsp and I curled them slightly for added interest.

I hope you like todays card, come back soon to see the second batch of my christmas card class.

Christmas Cards

Right, today I'm going to show you the last of my first Christmas Card class.  The first one uses another stamp set that will retire at the end of September, Trendy Trees, get it now while you can!  I've gone for Baja Breeze teamed with Whisper White and Island Indigo, a touch of Dazzling Diamonds glitter and finished!

For the final card I gave in and went for my old favourite Christmas colours.  I've used Lucky Limeade and Cherry Cobbler.  The new embossing folder is called Holiday Frame, it co-ordinates beautifully with the Extra large oval punch, and here I've also used the oval frame from the Designer Frames embossing folders set.

So that's it from the first lot of Christmas Cards.  Do you want to get started on your own Christmas cards?  Are you local to Northampton? Why not join us at Septembers Christmas card session on either Wednesday  19th 7.30 - 10pm or Saturday 22nd 10.30 - 1pm.  Use the contact me tab at the top of the page to get in touch.

Something a bit different...

So for today a break form Christmas cards.  I'd like to share this card with you, the colours are More Mustard, Early Espresso, Always artichoke and Cherry Cobbler.

This card uses some of the fab new items from the Autumn/Winter catalogue.  I love the effect you get with the Core'dinations card stock.  I used the new Woodgrain embossing folder and sanded it to highlight the embossed areas.  The leaves are from the Autumn accents die, I've used a ball tool to 'draw' on veins and then crumpled them up and sponged them to give them that autumn look.

More of the first Christmas cards

So we used Dasher on the first card and for the second one I wanted to use some new product.  I also wanted to keep clear of the standard reds and greens.  I think this fits the bill :)  I've gone for Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Gumball Green, Primrose Petals and a touch of Soft Suede and Summer Starfruit.

So the new products on the above card are the DSP it's called Snow Festival. I love the DSP from Stampin' Up!  It's such great quality and you get 12 double sided sheets (2 each of 6 different designs).  The stamp set  is called Scentsational Season, I can't wait to show you more with this set!

The third card is nice and simple, Pool Party teamed with Whisper White - it just goes to show a doily isn't always a doily.  This time it's a snowflake.

I'll be back soon with the last of the cards from my first Christmas card making session.

First Christmas Card Class

I had my first Christmas card class a few weeks ago. sorry it's taken me so long to blog.  So I was able to play with my pre-order goodies from the Autumn/Winter catalogue, as demonstrators we not only get 20% off our personal purchases but we also have the chance to get our sticky mitts on products a month before they are launched ;)

So onto the cards. For the first one I wanted to use one of my favourite stamps - Dasher. He retires at the end of September so if you want one of your own let me know quick, retiring items are only available while stocks last.  I'll add details at the end of this post.

I keep the designs for this series of classes fairly simple as we make 10 cards in a session, 2 each of 5 designs.  I can't remember where I saw this design but I love it.  Dasher's antlers look great as the strip across the middle don't you think?  The colours are Basic Black, Whisper White, and Poppy Parade.  This gorgeous rich red also retires at the end of September, so if you want some let me know.

Now onto the retiring list, click on the links to see details of the items that are leaving us at the end of September.

You can see the retiring Stamps Here

If you want to look at the retiring accessories the list is Here

I'll be back soon with more of the cards we made x

In Love With Stampin - Summer Mini Catalogue Blog Hop

Wow! May already! This is a scheduled post so I hope it works!

I've been really busy lately, what with starting back teaching and the new Summer Mini catalogue has been the perfect excuse to get me going again!  I'm taking part in the ILWS blog hop toady and you should have come here from Anthea's blog her work is lovely and I can't wait to see what she's come up with.

For today I'm sharing a project that I've been wanting to try for AGES.  I keep seeing owls everywhere at the moment and I decided that I wanted to make my own.  So some web browsing later I decided to just go for it and designed my own pattern for this little cutie!  I've named her Tallulah.

She is made using the divine new designer fabric called Twitterpated - I love that name :)  The buttons are from the subtles pack and her beak and feet are some scraps of felt I had in my stash.  I had so much fun playing with my sewing machine, can't wait to do some more.

So short and sweet as I have a pile of marking to finish.  To continue the 'hop' head over to Emily's Blog and see what she's done.

I'll be back later with lots of exciting news!

A progressive Scrapbook Layout – Quarterly team training

Once a quarter the Lovely Monica (my upline) and Bekka, my SU ‘Sister’ run a fantastic training session.  Unfortunately Monica was really unwell with the dreaded Norovirus, we all missed you Mon! Bekka did a fab job tho, and we all had loads of fun.
January’s session was as always full of some amazing inspiration, and I’d like to share a little with you now.  Bekka did a beautiful Progressive Scrapbook layout.  You may be asking “What’s a Proggressive Layout?” Well basically it starts as a 6x6 page, this is then matted onto a bigger page and then a bigger one.
The layout starts with a 6x6 page.
