Stampin Up Colour Challenge

I've been a bit of a naughty blogger and been very quiet, I started a new part time job to bring in a few extra pennies - it's perfect 10am - 2pm term time only. With Thomas starting school in September I couldn't ask for better hours, unfortunately they were also my peak 'playtime' hours! So thankfully now it's the summer hol's and I have much more time to play!!!!

I wanted to share a picture of my entry for the Stamp With Us challenge this week. It's a colour challenge based on this picture.

So here's my take on it....

Items used:

Stamp: SU - Crazy For Cupcakes

Image stamped on SU cardstock in Whisper White, other cardstock from my stash (still collecting the gorgeous SU card!)

Flower and Brad from stash

SU Scallop Edge Punch

I used my SU blender pens to ink the stamp and colour the image, colours used are barely banana, real red and basic gray.

The creation of this card was really interesting for me. Firstly the colours are not what I would normally go for. Secondly I drew a sketch for the card and worked from that, the final outcome is a little different to the sketch but it was a really useful starting point. All in all I'm happy with the outcome, not what I might usually do but change is a good thing!
