Well the Stamp With Us blog officially launched - yesterday now but I'm having trouble sleeping which is why it's so late!
The SWU team set a challenge and I decided to give it a go. This was the first time I'worked from a sketch. I also don't often go for pink but I had some bits out from a new baby card I've recently made. I'm really pleased with the results.
The items I used to make this card are ....
- Stamps - "One of a Kind" from Stampin Up.
- "Boho Blossoms" punch from Stamin Up.
- Corner Rounder punch from my stash.
- Cardstock and plain pink paper from my stash.
- Pink grosgrain ribon from Dovecraft.
- Versa Color inks in Orchid and Raspberry.
- Double sided tape and 2mm sticky pads from my stash.
- Quickie Glue Pen.
- Glitter from my stash.
Tha card is a 5 1/2 inch square. I cut a slit into the spine of the card a little over a third of the way up and threasded the ribbon through before I tied a knot. I cut the striped card and pink banking paper to size by eye and matted it up, and stuck to the card using sticky pads for dimension. I stamped the sentiment and the flowers onto white card. I used both colours of ink together first applying the light colour all over the stamp and then gently tapping on a little of the darker colour. After trimming the sentiment and rounding the corners I inked the edges using the darker colour. I cut out the largest flower and used the boho blossoms punch to cut the 3 smaller ones - I used one of the smaller flowers on a sticky pad in the centre of the larger flower. I attached the sentiment to the flower with a tiny brad and then used a little glitter for a touch of sparkle. Hope you like it :-)
